Purpose of Job
Provides onsite and office-based technical and commercial support to customers while contributing to the achievement of the Pumps Business Unit sales targets.
Responsibilities
A. Customer / Supplier Relations Management
• Establishes, develops, and maintains strong business relationships with current and prospective customers through regular visits and presentations of company’s product range.
• Creates and maintains a structured knowledge base for existing customers, including profile, market share, project pipeline, and growth opportunities.
• Benchmarks company proposals against competitors and provides strategic input.
• Compares prices with competitors and reports finding to management for further actions.
B. Pumps Sales
• Prepares quotations based on customer specifications, applying company pricing and discount policies as set by senior management under the supervision of the BUH.
• Coordinates with Sales Executives for final quotation formatting and documentation prior to submission to clients.
• Negotiates quotations within approved pricing limits and seeks approval from the BUH or General Manager when required.
• Verifies stock availability, checks lead times, and informs customers of delivery schedules, especially for running projects.
• Prepares technical submittals in coordination with the BUH and follows up until consultant approval and project award.
• Provides technical support, including pump sizing and system calculations.
• Prepares sales orders and submits them to the BUH for final approval.
• Follows up on customer issues and complaints to ensure proper resolution.
• Assists the BUH in expanding the product portfolio and adding at least one new supplier annually.
C. After Sales
• Coordinates with the maintenance and technical support teams regarding defective item claims or technical support requests.
• Conducts onsite visits when required to support resolution and ensure compliance with company policy.
D. Target Setting & Achievement:
• Ensures all quotations comply with project specifications and bill of quantities.
• Supports the BU Head in achieving sales growth and expanding the mechanical portfolio.
• Maintains close internal communication to stay updated on product innovations and developments.
E. Market Feedback and reporting
• Provides market feedback on customer needs, satisfaction, pricing, competition, and new product potential to management through regular reports as requested.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Job Experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical sales within the mechanical or pumps industry
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
