Purpose of Job
Responsible for preparing accurate technical and commercial proposals for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and data center projects. The role involves analyzing tender documents, performing load calculations, selecting appropriate UPS solutions, evaluating technical compliance, and developing competitive cost estimates while ensuring alignment with company margin objectives and international standards.
Responsibilities
• Review tender documents, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and RFQs to determine project scope and compliance requirements.
• Perform detailed load calculations and backup time analysis to select appropriate UPS ratings and configurations.
• Develop structured quotations including cost breakdowns, margin analysis, and commercial assumptions.
• Evaluate UPS technologies (Online Double Conversion, Modular, Line-Interactive).
• Assess battery technologies (VRLA, Lithium-ion, Ni-Cd) and perform battery sizing calculations.
• Identify technical risks and cost impacts and report them to management.
• Analyze client requirements, load calculations, and backup time to select appropriate UPS ratings and configurations.
• Assist in pre-bid and post-bid clarifications, technical submittals, and client meetings.

• Understanding of electrical power systems, load calculations, and backup time sizing.
• Knowledge of battery technologies (VRLA, Lithium-ion, Ni-Cd) and battery sizing principles.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and layouts.

• Basic knowledge of installation, commissioning, and maintenance of UPS systems.

Job Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in UPS systems estimation, tendering, or techno-commercial engineering.
• Experience in data center, healthcare, or industrial projects is highly preferred.

Education
• Vocational Degree Technician or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
