Lighting Sales Engineer

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Contractors, consultants, direct clients, architects, ID’s, promoters and developers

MAIN FUNCTIONS
  • Visit Architects/consultants/contractors for sales call.
  • Expand G-Light sales activities by identifying, negotiating, and closing new opportunities (new clients) in different market segment.
  • Prepare and/or supervise/check Tenders’ design prior to submittal to clients
  • Achieve the sales targets in terms of turnover, collection, market growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Relations Management
  • In all interactions with third parties and existing or potential customers, promotes the image of the company by demonstrating professionalism, reliability and technical knowledgeableness, and upholds the high standards of the company.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers via regular visits to enquire on ongoing projects, and to present G-Light’ products range.
  • Create a knowledge base on existing customers highlighting profile, share, value opportunities, etc.

Sales
  • Visit Architects/consultants/contractors for sales call.
  • Participate in meetings/sales presentation to client.
  • In case of new clients, enquire on their status and make recommendations as to their categorization regarding applicable discounts & payment conditions, and submit to Managing Partner for approval.
  • Provide technical knowledge & information/ advices when required
  • Prepare a project check list after client’s visit and submit it to Sales Support for quotation preparation or Select appropriate lighting fixtures based on specs and/or client briefs and generates lighting calculations and studies if needed.
  • Review offers prepared by the Sales Support.
  • Negotiate offers with clients, take into consideration their remarks and feedback and reviews them as deemed appropriate while remaining within the limits of the company’s set pricing policy. Seek advice from Managing Partner.
  • Prepare client account file by filling the account opening sheet, collection of the client’s ID and related information; submit the sheet to Sales Support for approval.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Coordinator until the Sales Order is released on ERP.
  • Follow up on the resolution of clients’ problems and complaints in coordination with other staff members.
  • Oversee the project from inception until handing-over.
  • Follow up with various department to ensure timely delivery of the goods and a satisfactory customer experience.
  • Follow up with clients until down payment is received.
  • Utilize the CRM application and ensure that all data are recorded and accurate.

Target Setting & Achievement
  • Participate in sales forecast by collecting and reporting all relevant information.
  • Ensure sales targets are met, in terms of volume, product family.
  • Assume overall responsibility of client portfolio/account/ (troubleshooting/follow up on payment)

Market Feedback and reporting
  • Provide market feedback regarding customer needs, customer satisfaction, pricing, competition, and potential for new products and services to management via regular reports as per management request.
  • Undertake additional related responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Engineering Diploma, (preferably electrical).

EXPERIENCE

At least 2-3 years of experience in sales with a proven track record in achieving sales targets.

  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures/products.
  • Understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Excellent customer service ability

  • Ability to present technical information
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate including knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and Dialux
  • Languages: Read, speak, and write Arabic and English. French is an asset
