Senior Sales Engineer - Mechanical

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Relations Management 
  • In all interactions with third parties and existing or potential customers, promotes the image of the company by demonstrating professionalism, reliability and technical knowledgeable, and upholds the high standards of the company.
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers via regular visits to present RGCO’s products range.
  • Create a knowledge base on existing customers highlighting profile, share, value opportunities, etc.

Pumps Sales
 
  • In case of new clients, enquire on their status and make recommendations as to their categorization regarding applicable discounts & payment conditions, and submit to unit head for approval.
  • Respond to sales replenishment calls from retailers; perform regular visits, complete sales and follow up to ensure requested goods are delivered within best timeframe.
  • Prepare quotations based on the specifications received from the customers and applies the company’s pricing & discount policy per customer and product as set by senior management under the supervision of the Pumps BU Manager.
  • Send quotations to sales assistant for final formatting and documents preparation, review before sending to clients.
  • Review quotations prepared by Sales Support Engineers.
  • Negotiate quotations with clients, take into consideration their remarks and feedback and reviews the offers as deemed appropriate while remaining within the limits of the company’s set pricing policy. Seek advice from Pumps BU Manager.
  • Verify stock availability of quoted items, enquire on lead times, and inform customers of delivery terms in case of running projects.
  • Prepare technical submittals in coordination with BU Manager (when deemed necessary), follow up and review them as necessary until obtainment of consultants’ approval and completion of sale.
  • Provide technical support as needed and assist customers in calculating the appropriate sizing for their pump systems.
  • Prepare sales orders and submit to unit head for final approval
  • Follow up on the resolution of clients’ problems and complaints.
  • Coordinate sales effort with other company’s staff (marketing, invoicing, accounting, logistics and technical bureau) for creation of account (if applicable), delivery and invoicing in order to ensure client’s satisfaction.
  • After Sales
  • Coordinate with maintenance and technical support team regarding claims of defect items or request for technical support to ensure all claims are answered according to company policy, and visit clients on site as requested.

Target Setting & Achievement
 
  • Participate in sales forecast by collecting and reporting all relevant information.
  • Ensure sales targets are met, in terms of volume, product family.
  • Assume overall responsibility of collection for client portfolio.
  • Monitor clients’ credit limits and ensure their balances are within the acceptable ranges set by the company.
  • Follow up on payments and ensure receivables are collected in a timely manner.

Market Feedback and reporting
 
  • Provide market feedback regarding customer needs, customer satisfaction, pricing, competition, and potential for new products and services to management via regular reports as per management request.

QUALIFICATIONS

Engineering Diploma, (preferably mechanical)

EXPERIENCE

At least 2-3 years of experience in sales with a proven track record in achieving sales targets.
